HERTAWORKS AT ESSEX NYC

If you’re in NYC and looking for a great place to have brunch, come see Herta’s paintings on permanent display at Essex Restaurant, down on the lower east side.

Herta used to have group art shows there with Maxstyle.tv when she first moved to NY. She sold her first painting to the restaurant, a triptych of showcasing red, yellow and black gloved bodies. Soon after, one of the 3 panels were stolen and Herta was approached for a new commission. Herta then created a diptych, also part of the original bodies series, in black, red and white. Essex also acquired “A Hairy Situation”, a multi-media piece in black and red, where Herta adhered synthetic hair to the canvas for textural interest and “a playful take on hair at a restaurant”.
